Many years ago, the fighters, archers and artisans of the Kingdom of Meridies joined forces to help rid our Faire Shire of King Billy Bob and his treacherous Giant Clan that inhabited the woods around the peaceful Gwydie City. The final blow was struck by the Giant and the townsfolk of Gwydie City were forced to move as their town was completely destroyed by fire and flood. The townsfolk have finished rebuilding and they started to notice what could only be Giant tracks in the woods as they hunted last winter. The Giant's are attacking again. King Billy Bob II, son to the now dead and buried Giant King has swore that he would take back the lands stolen by the people living in New Gwydie City!
We have decided to strike a blow first! The townsfolk and the newly appointed Mayor of New Gwydie City have sent out the call to all able bodied fighters, archers and kingdom artisans to aid us in the fight to destroy the Giant's own CASTLE first! Yes that RIGHT, the Giant's have the gold this time and New Gwydie City needs it for their own – and for taxes to the Kingdom of course!
The team that earns the most overall war points will win the coveted Giant's Booty Box to split amongst their team members!
Each team will receive points for the following events:
The top four teams in each category will get WAR POINTS for that category as follows:
BONUS: Any team that places 1st through 4th place in all four categories will receive an additional 15 points to their final event score!
Saturday – Armour Inspection will begin at 9:30am. This will be for Combat Archery as well
Giant's Dance is a TEAM event! There will 4 parts to the event. Teams are to consist of 7 heavy weapons fighters and unlimited archers. Plus your teams can have unlimited A&S members, but each person is limited to 1 entry per category. Each of the 4 parts will have WAR POINTS awarded for 1 st – 4 th place. Most points at the end of the event win the coveted Giant's Dance Booty Box to split among their team.

Fighting Rules
There will be 4 battles to test your teams: Giant's Champion Battle Giant's Wrestling: and the Giant's Melee!
Giant's Champion Battle: Teams will choose 1 heavy weapons fighter to serve as their champion. Champions will compete in a single elimination bear pit style fight. Teams will get one point for each kill their champion scores
Giant's Wrestling : Teams will choose a 2 man team to represent them in this one. One man carries a single weapon and the other a shield. The object is to kill you opposing team's WEAPONSMAN! The Shieldman and Weaponsman swap off equipment every time they win. This is single elimination. YOU CANNOT TACKLE YOUR OPPONENT OUT OF THE RING! A TEAM LOSES IF THEY PUSH THEIR OPPONIENTS OUT OF THE RING. GREAT CARE WILL BE TAKEN TO AVOID MAKING SHIELD TO BODY CONTACT WITH THE OPPOSING TEAM. SHIELD TO BODY CONTACT FORFIETS THE MATCH! Teams will compete in a 15 * 15 ring. Teams are awarded one point per kill.
The Castle Battle : Each team will take turns Attacking one time and Defending one time. The battle field is comprised of the following obstacles: The Boat, The Pier, The Hasty Barricade, The Giant's Watch Towers (2), The Giant's Mine and The Giant's Castle. See the Map below
i. There is a 20 minute time limit. The gold has disappeared from the field. THE GIANT'S HAVE HIDDEN IT! So the attackers have no choice but to take the Giant's town itself. This is an unlimited resurrection battle. The last owned obstacle is the resurrection point for each team. If a Attacker is killed in the BOAT—they are dead and cannot resurrect and if a DEFENDER dies in the CASTLE they cannot resurrect.
ii. Each the obstacles will have a red flag (attacking) and a white flag (defending). Attackers start in the BOAT and Defenders start in the CASTLE. Each will have its own color flag in that area already flown. The object of the game is to take as many obstacles as possible and fly your colors to show that you have taken it! Teams will get 1 point for every obstacle where their teams COLOR FLAG are FLOWN!
iii. Archers and Siege Engines on both sides may not shoot until the HASTY BARRICADE is Broken!
iv. If 3 Heavy Defenders get into the BOAT uncontested the boat is considered burnt and time is called. Defenders get credit for owning all obstacles. If 3 Heavy Attackers get into the CASTLE uncontested (must be at least 1 heavy) the castle is considered captured and time is called. Attackers get credit for owning all obstacles.
v. If the Defender's siege engine gets 3 armaments into a small marked area on the BOAT, it is destroyed and time is called. Defenders get credit for all obstacles except for dead BOAT. If the Attacker's siege engine gets 3 armaments into a small marked area in the CASTLE, it is destroyed and time is called. Attackers get credit for all obstacles except for dead CASTLE. (Must go over the wall!) Siege engine rules are subject to change based upon how many arrive on site. No Siege engines will be allowed unless we have sufficient engines for every team to use one.
The Grand Melee: This is a 15 minute time limit fight and the first 10 minutes are unlimited resurrection. The last 5 minutes are one kill per person rules. All teams will be on the field in this open competition. No siege engines or archers are allowed. Each team will occupy a different spot out side the castle front. There will be 4 flags behind the castle numbered 1 to 4. These flags are for 1 st through 4 th place, they carry the follow point value: 1 st = 10pts, 2 nd = 5pts, 3 rd = 3 pts, 4 th = 1pt. The object is for the fighters to fight their way into the castle front and grab a flag and return it to their teams starting place outside the castle. You must enter and exit the castle across the draw bridge and through the doors. You must have a FULL GAUNTLET to grab the flag! You can openly challenge a team for their flag while the clock is running. You can steal a flag if possible! Regular rules of engagement will be in effect while behind the castle walls. The four teams that have their flag back to their starting place first wins those points.
