The Shire of Nant-Y-Derwyddon hosts....

Viking Raids

September 15, 2004

Good evening, all!

On behalf of the autocrat and our seneschal, I am sorry to have to tell everyone this but we decided to cancel Viking Raids this weekend. We've been watching the weather closely and decided that there were too many factors pointing towards the event being miserable. The forecast is for heavy rains the entire weekend, with high winds, and a flood watch. Combine this with a lack of indoor facilities and it seemed like a recipe for misery. We hope this doesn't inconvenience or disappoint anyone too badly. We would rather you remember a pleasant fun event and not a wet, soggy misery.

Our best wishes to those in direct path of Hurricane Ivan.

Sincerely,

Maestra Clare de Estepa, Webminister for Nant-Y-Derwyddon
